SAT Going Digital: We Have an App for That!

Updated: May 12, 2022

A Group Class at F&B Thursday, March 17th 6-8 pm

Hosted by Hanna Vanderloop, F&B's Director of Test Prep

As you may have heard, the State of Connecticut has chosen to implement the digital SAT for the mandatory school day testing later this month. The format of the SAT will be the same as the current SAT but will be held through their new online testing interface. Students who have accommodations will be provided the same accommodations. This will be a big change for our students who are used to taking their exams on paper! Because we're hearing many questions from students, we're holding a group class to address them all and to practice using this new system.

What we will do:

  • Compare the digital SAT to the current SAT

  • Translate test prep skills such as annotation and answer choice elimination to the digital interface

  • Practice using the digital interface

  • Discuss how ACT test taking approaches translate to the SAT for those focused on the ACT for their prep

  • Answer questions on how the SAT will be delivered on test day

This course is definitely recommended for students who are focused on the SAT so they can have the best shot of doing their best on this additional testing opportunity. For students focused on the ACT, this test is much lower stakes, but it might be beneficial to have some practice ahead of time! The cost of this group class is $150.

If you have any questions about this group course, please reach out. For details about which device your child will be testing on and for more information on how their school will be administering the test, please reach out to your school's guidance department.
